EducationOur group of tutors includes an English professor from Franklin University with over 20 years of tutoring experience, as well as other tutors with college educations.
ExperienceWhile many tutoring or homework help institutions simply establish achievement goals and then provide instruction, our tutors consistently get to personally know the student, identify his or her displayed (as well as perceived) academic strengths and weaknesses, identify the student's primary learning style and provide strategies for capitalizing on those strengths, and promote confidence the student can take with them back into the classroom. We also help foster a life-long love of learning by coaching students on how to teach themselves
At Learning Matters Indy, tutors understand that they are not the sole answer to your child's academic needs. Rather, with your permission, tutors are joining your child's educational team of teachers and parents/ guardians, as a critical ally dedicated to working with you (the parent or guardian) and your child's teachers to help yield the best possible results.
HobbiesThis tutoring group has worked with all kinds of students in the past. We work with the parents, teachers, and student to create a support system that fosters learning.
