Education
I grew up in the Indianapolis area, graduating from Lawrence Central High School with Honors in 2008. I then attended Butler University for my undergraduate years, majoring in English (writing focus) and minoring in Spanish. I finished my academic career at Butler with a 3.9 GPA and may awards from the English department.
Experience
I have lots of tutoring and teaching experience! 2013 - Present: Tutoring high school students in ACT/SAT prep, English and Creative Writing, and helping juniors and seniors with their college application essays. 2012 - 2013: Taught 8th, 10th, and 12th grade English full-time at the International School of Indiana. I also taught Drama for grades 7-11. 2011 - 2013 (Summers): The past two summers I have been a lead teacher at Butler's annual Creative Writing Camp for 6-7th grade students. The summer prior to that (2011) I worked as a mentor/tutor for 8-9th graders. While studying at Butler, I tutored Spanish-speaking students at a local IPS school through the student organization JUNTOS. Additionally, I tutored high school students at Shortridge High School and helped facilitate their after-school creative writing program, Exclusive Ink. Currently, I am working as a freelance content writer, helping businesses all over the world create blog posts and articles that communicate their message and brand. I miss teaching and working with students. My hope is that tutoring can bring that element I'm missing back into my life!

Hobbies
I have played the violin for 17+ years. In addition to tutoring, I offer violin lessons to students of all skill levels and ages. I live in the Broad Ripple area and enjoy walking along the Monon trail. I also love to do yoga, spend time with my friends and family, read, travel, and play violin. I perform with a few local bands around town!
