Experience
My name is Stephanie and I am a professor of biological sciences. I have both a bachelor's and master's degree from Ball State University and have been teaching anatomy and physiology, biology, and microbiology for nearly 10 years at a local community college. Outside my experience teaching, I have worked in both clinical and research positions allowing me to bring real life examples to biological concepts. My students will tell you I am easy going, but expect hard work in return. I enjoy teaching and tutoring, which means it's not just a job for me. My goal will be too develop your understanding of the material, not just your ability to memorize. The fact you're looking into a tutor means you've taken a very important first step to creating a successful academic career! That's not an easy thing to do. I would love to help you get past any hurdles you have with science and hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I do!

Hobbies
Outside of teaching and tutoring, I have a little boy who is my world and a wonderful husband who shares my love of science. We read my son science books frequently! I love to read. My favorite author is Michael Crichton, and my favorite book kid Jurassic Park! Furthermore, I really enjoy any dinosaur book or movie. I also love creating spreadsheets. It sounds strange but I could spend hours working on Excel! I keep spreadsheets for just about everything, and if I tutor you, I'll probably keep one about your progress!
