Private tutor in Indianapolis, IN
Education
Graduated with a 3.8 GPA majoring in Spanish. I began studying the language in 2nd grade and continued it through college. I lived in Salamanca, Spain and took courses at the Universidad de Salamanca, focusing on Spanish art and culture. I am fluent reading and writing Spanish. My niche is that since Spanish is my second and academic language, I can teach the origins to help the adult learner understand the why's behind the what's.
Experience
I tutored American students in Spain, I have also tutored Portuguese immigrants in English utilizing Spanish as our mode of communicating. I want to be a Spanish tutor to help people understand the new world that opens up to them after learning a new language. Being bilingual has opened up countless opportunities for me, and I want to help open them for others. I currently work as a teacher for a fortune 100 company, instructing adults on how to be effective communicators and leaders. Working as a part-time tutor will allow me to fuse my adult learning principles into content that could traditionally be boring and routine. I will engage my students by creating a fun learning environment that will help them excel.
