Experience
I am a former teacher that would consider my specialty making subjects in Social Studies easy to understand. I have helped learners from all backgrounds, criminals to honor roll. My first teaching assignment was with the National Guard's Patriot Academy (the only high school created by the Department of Defense). My students came from diverse backgrounds with many different learning styles, from all 54 states and territories. While at this position, I became certified by Ivy Tech Community College to teach classes online. I was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and Achievement Medal for my service to the Army. My second teaching assignment sent me to the Indianapolis Public Schools where I taught Social Studies for alternative education. I now work for the Army Reserves as a School Support Specialist helping Soldiers and their families with educational goals.
