I am a tutor and army veteran who brings the values that I learned in the service to my teaching. I am available to tutor students in finance, accounting, cost accounting, financial accounting, managerial accounting, and business. I realized my passion for teaching when I volunteered as a tutor at Barton Community College. As a tutor at Barton I worked with soldiers and their families on accounting. I truly loved my experience at Barton, and I discovered that I want to share my knowledge with others to help them succeed and improve their future. As a soldier I was taught the value of patience, enthusiasm, planning, and passion. I believe that all of these values are applicable to teaching. As an accounting tutor I use a very careful, precise method of teaching. Accounting is an intricate subject, and I believe it is important to take real world business and accounting examples and relate them back to the subject material. I also make sure that my students understand the fundamental differences between accounting and math, two subjects that people often get confused with one another. When I'm not working with students I enjoy reading books and watching movies. I am also very active and I love to go running.
