Experience
I attended Marquette University, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, with a focus on Water. While studying for my degree, I had the opportunity to travel with the organization, Engineers without Borders, where I worked with other students and professionals on a water purification project, as well as an electrification project. I had other opportunities to do volunteer work using my knowledge of engineering. Upon graduation, I decided to continue on to earn my master's at the University of Minnesota, which I also took Environmental Engineering, this time with a focus on International Sustainable Development and Water Engineering. I work with a group of engineering consultants now, and with the experience I have had with tutoring other students, I'd like to give back by tutoring students of all ages in math and engineering subjects. Or Spanish, which I am fluent in. I am very patient with the students I tutor, and have excellent organizational skills, which I like to pass on to my students. I believe in Montessori teaching methods, which are learner led, and allow me the freedom to use different teaching styles with different students. In my free time, I like to travel, play sports, read, and try new things.
