Experience
I am an experienced tutor and teacher with over 3 years of professional experience. I attended a high school with a classical curriculum where I gained thinking an writing skills by analyzing great literature across western traditional like Plato's Republic and Dostoyevsky's The Brothers Karamazov. I then studied Political Science at the Johns Hopkins University. At Hopkins I was intellectually challenged and pushed to understand how governments affect society and serves the indigent. I tutored local Baltimore City Public School students as well as worked as a counselor over the summers. After Hopkins, I moved to Benxi, China and taught English as a Second Language for a year. I worked both in one on one and classroom settings. I then moved to Indianapolis having been accepted to Teach for America, a non-profit committed to improving educational equity in the United States. I taught for two years in public schools in Center Township as a secondary social studies and English teacher. Throughout my time as a teacher, I tutored students outside the classroom and was a Big Brother. I have excelled in my academic career and hope to help students in Indianapolis to do the same. I specialize in both World and American History as well as the writing process. I am excited to work with you or your child to help them acquire skills necessary to excel in school and beyond.

Hobbies
I originally hail from the Washington DC area, growing up in Falls Church, VA. I have a love of competition both in sports and in academics. In high school I was a four sports athlete, gaining varsity letters in soccer, basketball, cross country, and lacrosse. I was also a team captain and won a state championship in Lacrosse my junior year. I was a college basketball player and learned to manage my time to both excel academically and on the court. I love to travel, meet new people, and engage in deep discussions about literature, pop culture, and sports. I have a heart for young people and mentoring and enjoy the struggle it takes to improve.
